The start of the stream has a lovely sitting area adjacent to it, which benefits from the shade of the horse chestnut.

Site Description
The old farmhouse and garden nestle in the quaint village of Coddenham.
There was an old existing pond, heavily overgrown and chocked with reed and bulrush.
The garden is bounded to the south by a narrow stream, to the east by mixed native hedge and to the west by a country lane.
A number of mature trees existed along the line of the stream and there was an avenue of cherries running diagonally across the garden.
At the top of the garden near to the house, was a beautiful horse chestnut.
Design Brief
We redeveloped the existing pond, to enlarge it and create a sitting area which could accommodate a summer house in the future.
The pond is linked to the upper garden by a stream winding its way through lush, textural planting.
