Site Description
The clients had just purchased their lovely new property in sunny Saxmundham when they enquired into our services. They felt that the small, weed covered bank left by the contractors as a garden was beyond them and they needed professional help.
A small garden with such a steep slope running up and away from the house and with every boundary running at odd angles was a real challenge.
Design Brief
Mr and Mrs Lewis wanted to create an attractive space outside space to extend the interior living space. Both had grown up and lived in the Far East for many years and they wanted the garden to have a sense of their past without being a “themed” garden.
The garden had to provide an area for entertaining and make the best use of the different levels. Water was an important feature as the garden received a lot of sun and the sound of moving water is very cooling. Planting was designed to provide year round interest with colour and texture.
